Hotel Review

There are good reasons why pan pacific hotel Singapore is always occupying the top stop in the tripadvisor reviews. While the hotels facade cannot be comparable to the new hotels spring up around the Marina bay area like the Marina bay sand resort, everything else about the hotel is impeccable.

The first hing I should mention is the price. It is one of the most reasonable 5 star hotels in terms of room rates. If you book online via websites, you can typically get the hotel rooms at promotional rates. These are typically 30 to 40% cheaper than most 5 stars hotels around the region. In fact, you can even get a room for less than USD$150 furing th non peak periods.

Don’t expect anything less in terms of service just because of the price you are paying. I’ve stayed twice in the lowest grade rooms which are the deluxe rooms. Yet the hotel staff never ever made me feel any less than a VIP. All of the are well groomed and always carrying a smile.

The Deluxe room itself is simply decorated but very clean. The bedsheets used are typical hotel standard and likely to be satin or cotton satin with high thread counts. Hotel bathroom is very clean and this is important to me. The bathtub though might be just a tad too small for larger sized europeans.

Like all the other hotels at the Marina bay region, transport is easy. It is 5 minutes walk to either esplanade MRT or 8 minutes walk to the City Hall MRT interchange (the subway interchange). Nearby attraction include the Merlion walk, Esplanade theatres, marina bay sands casino and lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is linked directly to the Marina Square shopping center, a place which the Singaporeans themselves shop at.

Hotel Breakfast is typically good like most 5 stars hotel in Singapore. But the highlight in terms of gourmet is the Hai Tian Lo Cantonese restaurant. While the price of the food there is a tad expensive in terms of Chinese food, the quality is great. Even as a Singaporean, i must say their food is so tasty that I will not hesitate to return there for a gourmet self pamper once in a while. The Keyaki Japanese restaurant is known to be famous but I had not have the chance to try it out yet.

Overall Pan Pacific hotel Singapore offers what I think is one of the best value for money hotels in Singapore. There are even better 6 stars hotels in Singapore with nicer rooms and even better service, but for this price, Pan Pacific hotel is one of the best.
